Serving Our Community
Christ Church takes an active role in the life of our local community, providing support where we are able.
Our parish includes a number of hostels. We
support them through collecting toiletries, clothes and bedding. We are
supported in this work by local schools, so as well as
supplying necessities for new arrivals we can also provide Christmas and
Easter parcels complete with chocolate and cards made by the children!
We also support South Liverpool Foodbank with a special collection at harvest time and a steady collection throughout the year.
Our annual carols singing at the local farmer’s market has proved popular,, where we join with friends from other churches to bring christmas cheer to the local community!
Every year we also take part in the national heritage weekend when our doors are opened to anyone who would like to see the church’s wonderful Victorian edifice with its historic WW1 plaques and lovely stained glass windows. Find out more about our church building here.
If you live in the local area and would like to get involved with any of these activities, please get in touch.
